Why do I care so much about your pain?
Mar 31, 2022Why do I care so much about your pain?
Simply put...because I know how bad you feel. I've been there, hurting so bad I didn't know what to do. Trusting doctors, that were only prescribing medications and procedures that were temporary and short lived. Why? Because THAT is the "standard" of care. THAT is what they are trained to do. THAT is what they are paid by the insurance companies to do. Doctor's truly want to help you, but they have to stay up to date on the latest research being published everyday on the human body. Honestly, when do they have time to do that?
Living in a very deep depression for several years, hurting, not sleeping, which only made me hurt more, I finally "snapped" out of it, if you will. I couldn't go on living like this and decided to do what I had to do change my outcome.
My goal, live pain free, or as close to it as possible.
Being a pharmacist, retired ballerina, and understanding the functionality of the body very well, I tapped into my resources. I have access to medical databases that I use everyday in my job and started studying and researching what I needed to do. I began piecing together the plan and order that therapies needed to go in. There is plenty of research to support the use of all the natural solutions that I use on a daily basis to live pain free. The unfortunate thing is, just one therapy alone, will not work. The problem in the healthcare community, is no one is teaching you this. THE ORDER that therapies need to go in for you to have true, long-lasting success. Until now.
Chronic pain needs to be attacked from all angles.
Your musculoskeletal system needs to be in alignment and functioning correctly. How do you do that? Myofascial release, reflexology, massage therapy, physical therapy, chiropractic care, and exercise. All done routinely. Heal your body from the inside out with proper nutrition, hydration, and sleep. Reset your traumatized brain and learn to perceive pain for exactly what it is..."a natural defense mechanism that tells you to stop doing that". THIS is a good thing! It's healthy and normal. Did you stop doing that "thing"? If you did, then it worked! The problem is when your reaction to pain, that becomes very automatic and ingrained inside your body, is the same when it's something simple like a papercut or something more serious. Your brain doesn't know how to differentiate that. Stress is stress and the response becomes the same.
I chose to live a pain free life. Now, I do. Did it take time, effort, education, and planning? Of course! I had to work for what I wanted. There was a time that I believed that it would never be possible. Do I have bad days? Yes. But, those bad days are few and far between now. Why? Because I have and use ALL the tools that I need to stay out of pain.
I want to show you how to achieve pain free living too.
What are you will to do to live a pain free life?
Nicole
