Secret to mastering chronic back pain

With all the advancements in modern day medicine, effective therapies for chronic back pain remains elusive to the medical community.

The reason, is they are missing a very critical piece to the puzzle.  

The fascia.

The fascia is your connective tissue that surrounds everything in your body, holds everything in place, transfers energy to your tendons, muscles, and bones, and stores 70% of the water found in the body.  

The fascia found in the back is the largest surface are of fascia with densely populated nerve endings.  When your back fascia becomes injured, not only is it very difficult to see on an imaging studies that a doctor uses, it can constrict and tighten around the tissues is surrounds becoming very matted and stuck.  These adhesions squeeze and compress the nerve cells within the fascia causing pain.

 

Only 15% of back pain is due to a bulging or herniated disc, which is also a result of damaged fascia that surrounds and supports the disc, holding it in place.  The fascia becomes weakened and the disc then protrudes out through the matrix meant to hold it in place.

The good news is, the fascia can heal.  It unfortunately takes a long time, 7-14 months on average.  By incorporating fascia focused training and healing techniques consistently into your daily routines, you too, can heal your fascia, decrease back pain, improve mobility and strength.
